Hi WSA Surfers!
Welcome to the first event of 2026 at Oceanside Harbor South Jetty. This is event number 6 in our Championship Series.

Parking is paid at the kiosks and credit cards are accepted. There is free parking east of the Railroad tracks across from The Crab Shack restaurant.
Surfline is calling for surf in the 3 - 4 foot range from the WSW all weekend. Winds should be light and tides moderate. Should be fun!
WSA Head Judge, Pat Downey, has this to say about this weekends conditions and what the judges will be looking for:

Looks like we’ll have some decent surf this weekend. The wind will be in the single digit range Saturday/Sunday. The forecast calls out for 2-4 ft surf waist to chest high+. The conditions should be fair to good.
Judging will be focused on the surfers who can find and execute quality combinations. Some heats may have more opportunities than others. We will also be rewarding single MAJOR powerful and progressive maneuvers if performed in the most critical of sections. As always, we are looking for clean execution with, speed, power and good timing/flow between these moments. These will be the comparison points.
Please remember for maneuvers to be deemed complete, the surfer must show control and ride out in-front of the white wash. Any loss of control will hinder scoring.
*** Also, please note, if you surf beyond the flag and the outside the competition area, you risk not being seen clearly ***

We will have Got Milk? providing regular and chocolate milk from Hollandia Dairy. Also , Sticky Bumps will be providing wax. Our new official surf retailer sponsor, Jacks Surfboards, will be on the beach on Saturday and Sunday with a “spin-the-wheel” for prizes. Sun Bum will be providing Sunscreen. We will be providing Coffee, Hot Chocolate, Pancakes for competitors both days and Hot Dogs on Sunday
